Basic Homemade Anti Aging Procedures
Most people, and not just women, would love to be able to find that magic pill that will halt the aging process. There are many different products, treatments and surgeries that can help disguise the effect that age has on the skin, but as yet, nothing has been effective in actually stopping it. The good news is that even if you can’t completely prevent your skin from aging, you can slow down the process. The better news is that it doesn’t have to cost a small fortune!
Women especially have been using homemade anti aging skin products for centuries. These days most women will go into a drugstore and buy something in a pretty bottle, or a product that claims to have more long lasting results than the products offered by the competition. This isn’t necessary. There are a number of things you can do to keep your skin looking and feeling fresh and you can make these for a fraction of the readymade potions and lotions sold in the store.
In the grocery store fresh fruit and vegetables are great anti aging products for your skin. Although some, such as avocado and cucumber could be used externally, their greater benefit is in the vitamins they restore to your body. Not many people realize that the skin is the body’s largest organ, and like the other organs, it needs to have its vitamin and mineral levels constantly replenished. The best fruits for skin and anti aging are those that are also rich in antioxidants – blueberries are a great example of these – as these actively encourage skin cell renewal.
Other things that are good for slowing down the anti aging effects on the skin are honey and oatmeal which can be made into face masks which when applied will clear the pores and leave the skin feeling fresh and clean. Baby oil is another inexpensive way of creating a soft feeling skin.
Exercise is another way of helping the anti aging process. Increasing the blood circulation can help bring more oxygen to the skin, and of course, you can also find exercise that work the facial muscles and help to tone up any that are starting to sag with age.
One of the least expensive and yet most effective ways of helping to help the anti aging process is to keep your skin hydrated. That means ensuring that you drink all of the water that you’re supposed to drink per day. For most people that means approximately 8 glasses of water. If you drink enough water, which in turn keeps your skin hydrated, you’ll have a much more radiant glow.
So, if you can see the wrinkles forming, and think your skin is looking more grey than pink, don’t automatically think you have to go and spend a lot of money on products that are heavily advertised on TV. As you can see, there are other options, and they don’t have to cost a lot of money. Some of the solutions require nothing more than pouring out a glass of water and drinking it!
